maybe they'res no business model for more hardcore games with AAA budgets, but the fact remains that they're being dumbed down because they need to sell too many copies
$60 is too low of a price for some of the bigger games
they have to dumb everything down to mass market so that they can sell many millions instead of just making a quality game that sells a few...

sometimes a mediocre game is your only option
turn-based strategy is basically full of garbage, but if you want to play a real strategy game you might end up playing garbage for thousands of hours...

i don't know of any modern MMO that's just a single game
there can be the real MMO with artificial delays that players wait for and there are other things to do in it for the people who play it...

the base-building term is just referring to the resource management decisions (which tend to originate from your "base" in the UI), even if it doesn't make any English sense

isn't moba mainly about build orders for your hero to get upgrades to beat the enemy composition/upgrades? and some sense of progression through the game? you level up and stuff
