Of course it is. The previous version didn't run at 60FPS and one of my targets for the new one was to update the game to reach that. I'm sad that I couldn't hit 60 when I first wrote it (perils of...

It's a thing as old as videogames, pretty much. As long as I can remember, developers have been making this trade off. It's really reductive to ascribe it to either consoles or as a relatively modern...

It is entirely a customers right to not buy a game based on whatever they believe to be an issue, be it a developer's politics, a belief that 30FPS or anything above or below a certain number is a...

This is precisely what I'm getting at. This is stuff we need to talk about because merely divulging that a game is [x] FPS is borderline useless information so getting into a "if developers...

Oh sure, that's totally true and in this case the majority of folks buying games have made it really clear that they want the game to work and will, generally, not care or notice as long as the...

Just quoting this to bounce off from...
Well, sort of but no. I mean, it depends on what you mean by "look good" and what you want from "looking good", right? Because the more "good" modern...

I'm not sure there is going to be region locks on every bundle? I've heard nothing about it anyway and they'd have a hard time with my keys as there's no region locks on them and I'm not going to...
Would you like the world to go back and edit every article ever made about Rolf Harris a well?

Yep. Same alright.
And a lot of them have really shit opinions.

Statistically, refunds are invariably a low single digit percentage of your take in games, I sincerely doubt that Humble would have seen a number drastically outside the norm here. In fact, due to...

It's not a gamble, it's a lucky dip. There's a substantial and important difference between the two. For a start, if a company wants to start playing the 'it's a gamble' card, they get regulated as a...

But nobody is using the keys, the keys get removed once the refund is handed over so all you're doing is holding someone hostage to a purchase for... reasons that don't entirely make sense other than...

"So, should someone who pays the BTA amount in the first week be given a refund if he didn't like the reveals of the second week?"
Yeah. Why not?
If the keys aren't revealed or cashed in, what...

I'm not really convinced there's a good argument for removing refunds to punish people for daft purchases, really.

I was thinking the same. And of course, the larger problem is that it's just not sustainable anyway so after a few months, I'd be very surprised if it could keep *this* quality up.

From the Humble bundle, No Breaks Valet is one of the funniest games I've ever played. Especially recommended if you've got a kid to play alongside.
Also, Fract OSC is lovely.

The phone no/address is so they can comply with VATMOSS. Just the way their licensing system works has no way of differentiating between "put a voucher in" and "bought from the store" because GM also...

I don't see that much money from this I'm afraid, this is one mainly for the love. But thanks! Ideally, it needs to sell about 10 times what it has so far for me to come out with Christmas so...

Monster Loves You is especially good for kids. I enjoy it as a grown up but it's really a nice interactive story book with a bit of light management stuff. My (then nine year old) kid loved it a lot.

Spartan Assault is just plain awful. Anyone who can last more than ten minutes with it is a brave soul indeed. It's got nothing to redeem it at all.
Given most cards still sell for about 5p a pop, the developers still get a cut of that and the money stays within Steam, I'm not even sure that's worth bothering about.
Yeah, there's literally no sensible comparison with refunds before this policy and refunds after. The refund rate was artificially depressed by a policy of no refunds and when there was a refund...

Unfortunately, the system is set up to favour people with a YouTube channel. Technically, the same for a games website too but the chances of any prominent games websites having someone on staff paid...
Yeah. I suspect we'll see an uptick in the first week or so (especially leading up to the sale) of people trying to get refunds because they can but that'll settle down soon enough.
In the main...
