You are oversimplifying to make a point... but it's an old point.
I'd recommend not spending too much, simply because with laptops you're looking at replacing the whole thing in future rather than upgrading.
A lot of mid range laptops should cope with most games...
I think everyone has this issue.
I've been trying to go back to my game of The witcher for about 2 years.
While I agree that games could do more to help with the issue, I'm not sure they can...

In my case, the nudity stood out because it was something I'd already been thinking about with the past 3-4 shows that I'd watched. So, start a new show - Westworld - and thought "oh, great. this...
Under the skin is a movie. It might be good, or it might be bad. I'm not quite sure.
It's certainly unusual though. Which is nice in this era of cookie-cutter polished studio movies.
IMHO they're being forced into it, rather than it being any kind of attempt at anything on their part.
So much development stuff is moving onto Node, and node is shit on windows because of many...

Although not totally about the US election, I thought this was an interesting (if a bit old now) take:...
Oh, and since Halloween is fast approaching I have to ask the important question:
Is Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie or an Xmas movie?
Should I show it to my kids now or in...
PSVR is going to ensure that, at least at first, there are going to be some AAA games on VR. How successful PSVR is and how those first generation of games do is likely to determine how many other...
Doing a gangster shootout in a hospital? That's very brave for a HK director... he must be pretty hardboiled.
I know what you mean and I think it might be right. I do know how much work it...
I was trying to make Chris grumpy ;-)
I might have missed an episode... I thought you said you were just popping out for milk, and next thing I heard you were living in China. Or something...
Did they ever do more than a handful of episodes?
I've been hanging out here for about 10 years (good god!) and I don't remember it getting mentioned very much.
 Hmm. seems like they did...

^True. I think it was more that, in this particular case, they underlined it as a joke at a very important moment. If they hadn't done that, I'd have just ignored/assimilated it.
Lots of US shows...

Ugly US election race a poor ad for democracy in China http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-37724839
Not sure if I should put this here or in the Political Systems Go Wrong thread...
I think Clash of the Titans suffered from being a British production. This was from the era when British movie studios were trying desperately to compete with US ones, but with half the budget. I...

The games industry does seem to worry more about secrecy than other media. I mean, the movie and tv show industry can be secretive at times - they try and prevent details leaking out, but they rarely...
Yeah, but my kids seem to watch 95% animation. When I look at lists of movies for young kids, they are almost entirely animated.
I just can't help but feel it'd be nice for them to see some real...

Can anyone recommend a decent (but not too long) Let's Play type introduction to Civ3 or Civ4 that actually gives you some idea of what choices mean, rather than just how to click things in order?

Now I want to load it up again and see. 2K did kindly just give me a free steam version recently...
But then again, I don't want to tarnish the memories.
I am disturbed by the distinct lack of Rey and Finn Star Wars toys around here. I just googled it and it seems it's a known issue, but it was kinda depressing to notice.
I've occasionally talked...

Whereas I, and I suspect a lot of people outside the US, went "huh?" and then had to google it later to work out why it was a joke.

I probably missed it, but does it have a touchscreen?

Everyone always criticises the combat in Bioshock, but I remember it being exactly the same as every FPS ever made. I don't get it.
Maybe I'm NOT discerning in my FPSes, but I don't think I've...

Yeah, but the wiiU also had buttons... which might make it a better tablet for (console) gaming, but doesn't make it a better tablet for checking your email, facebook, instagram, taking photos,...
