Never bought one, this certainly isn't going to be the first.

In a Civ game? No such thing.

If the reviews/word of mouth are favorable by that point, sure. That's exactly what I did with Civ IV and Civ V, it pays to be on a delayed schedule.

Indeed. When it comes to modern Civ games there's just no reason to buy them until the complete edition is out. The DLC nonsense has already started with Civ VI, I've no doubt it'll get worse. Once...

I'm sure it'll be included in the complete edition when I buy it on sale several years from now.

OK, I picked up Spec Ops. Since there's no way to split the cash between different games (all being the same publisher) I just gave the $1 to charity, because it'll be a cold day in hell before I pay...

How does Spec Ops control with mouse and keyboard? I've had a lot of bad experience with third person shooters from a control perspective.
Yup, OTC is a Soren Johnson designed, Chris Tin scored game. I wanted very, very badly for it to turn out well, because both of them have done some amazing work in the past.
I tend to agree, although Kieron used to be fairly reliable back when he was still around.
For the record, Offworld Trading Company appears to be a lovely multiplayer game, but everything I've...

Seems totally reasonable to me.
I don't know about the backlash part, but unfortunately the mugging part is already happening...
Armed Robbers Use Pokémon Go To Find 9 Victims

I call more landlines with it than cell phones, and that not very often. For me, it's mostly a mobile web terminal which can also serve as a phone for emergencies and "you want me to bring home...

It's South Park, so that's basically always the joke. Still, it's a solid parody and the first thing I always think of when Pokemon comes up, to this day.

I'm just amused/horrified that this is still relevant after 15 years:

Nope. The point of having a phone is to be able to contact people when I want to contact them and access information when I want to access it. I have no interest in being reachable at all times,...

My solution to the tracking problem, and a lot of other problems for that matter, is to leave my phone off unless I'm actually using it for something.
16-07-2016, 06:34 PM
Yeah. Maybe I'll reach a point where I'm comfortable turning it up at some point down the road. Right now it would feel like cheating.

No and no. I can see how 300% would mitigate the need to go back and grind, hell it might be too effective and eliminate the need/desire to go back and get the other stars so as to get better gear....

I've found a rhythm in Defender's Quest and am really enjoying it, now. A large part of the problem was failing to understand the scale of the thing, it's a much meatier game than I'd thought so I...

Investing time into a game involves a certain amount of trust in the developers to provide a worthwhile experience. Games where I have to mod out a core part of the design don't get played, in...

If I ever ask for an XCom 2 talkdown during a sale, someone should just copy/paste Gus's last post for me.

I'm spending every speck of scrap I get on new people and equipment, and I haven't reached a point where there even are side quests or tomes. Maybe I've gotten too preoccupied with trying to beat...

If you had let me finish you'd have read that's exactly what I did. *picks mic up and hands it back to you*
I'll be back to Renowned without a doubt, but after 5 campaigns I think a break is...

Finished up (well, to the degree that I'm going to) The Following expansion for Dying Light last night. DL is a great game, in general. The sense of movement is genuinely unmatched in first person...

Attempts to reclaim that word seem misguided, at best. Let it go the way of "lame," "dumb," and "idiot."

If breaking the cycle relies on my memory of forum conversations, it's safe to say we're all doomed. Sorry about that.
I do appreciate Baines dredging that one up, though. Now that I see it I...
