Finished Divine Divinity. I enjoyed my 45 hours with the game, though the ending fell into the usual trope of "away with story, let's have a long combat gauntlet before facing the boss!" It's quite...

So I've been playing a fair bit Divine Divinity on stream recently. It's a bit clunky, and I've broken a few side quests, but I enjoy it nevertheless.
Yesterday, though, I came to a dead end. To...

About 40 hours into Divine Divinity. It's a bit clunky, and I broke some side quests, but I'm still enjoying it. I'm getting to the point where I wouldn't mind it being over in another 10, 15 hours,...
Many strategy games would fit that bill, most notably Grand Strategy and 4X (Civilization, Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, ...) and sports management games (Out of the Park Baseball, Football...

I'm 20+ hours into Divine Divinity, playing a sword/board warrior. Having good fun, though some of the combat areas seem a bit grindy.
Not a fan of motorsport, but those F1 2016 screenshots look pretty amazing.

Currently playing through Thimbleweed Park and the new Stellaris add on.
I enjoy Thimbleweed Park a lot. Many shout outs to people who know their 80s games and trivia (to the point where I...
I'm in the same boat. I'd rather have them update/add to a game for 5 years (like with CK2) than release a new full price game every year or every other year that adds one or two features.

Started playing Battle Brothers. It feels very much like a turn based iteration Mount & Blade, with random world maps (which look GORGEOUS, btw).
If only there was a way to turn off the opening...

True. Character progression has also changed a lot since launch. Instead of the three skill trees that you progress through you now have three linear progress paths for each advanced class. And...

Been catching up on the new Star Wars canon novels and have a bit of a Star Wars itch, so I re-upped my Old Republic subscription as I do every few months. There's still plenty of class stories to...
Lazy Jones on C64 was a basic mini jump and run where you avoided work to go and play minigames on arcade machines. Part of its soundtrack was used for Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400. Which is funny,...

Picked up Spacechem on the GOG sale and immediately sank 90 minutes into it before bedtime. Still in the tutorials, having finished the first multi-reactor/pipeline puzzles. Really enjoying this so...

Diablo III. Played it a lot over year end/early January while listening to audio books.
- Shoot enemy
- enemy starts coming to you
- enemy loses track of what they're doing and return to their point of origin
Though there's some enemies who can still see...

I believe he mentioned that the hate he got on YT, Twitter, Reddit etc. caused him psychological issues, so I can understand why he's switched it off. I can sympathize to a degree, and considering...

Well, Seath and Crystal Caves was a bit underwhelming, though the cheese was pretty strong with me - using fog ring, slumbering dragoncrest ring, and bow & arrow a lot (not for the final fight - used...

I watched a 6:30h commentary about Dark Souls over the weekend. Though not in one sitting, mind you.
My glacial progress towards the end of the game continues. I made it down the Great Hollow to marvel at Ash Lake and kill the Hydra. It's not necessary for completing the game, but I did it for "been...

I've watched gameplay and streams of this game, and while I like what I see, I doubt I have the patience to "git gud" at it to have a chance in MP.
Oh, I just want to go to Ash Lake (and Great Hollow, actually), to tick it off the list during what's basically a sightseeing tour for me. :)
Offed Nito today. The bossfight felt a bit anticlimatic; Tomb of Giants felt tougher. Took a stroll from Firelink through Burgh to Parish just because. I think I will go to Ash Lake before I go to...
