Awesome game music.
I searched and found the old thread and well, thread's dead baby, thread's dead.
So let's have some awesome game music shall we?
I'll start us off with one of my favourite tracks ever. It's from Halo 2, but it's not the traditional Halo theme. It's something really rather unique and fantastic:

I'm an unabashed Jeremy Soule fan, Morrowind's main title still gives me chills:
Edit: Apologies for the multipost but apparently there's a one video per post limit.

Icewind Dale had music so ridiculously out of proportion to its graphics that the first time I stepped out of the tavern in the starting town I always had to stop and just stare slack-jawed taking in the score.

And finally, I really enjoy Pablo Vega's work on the AI War soundtrack, in particular this piece (which has a nice build, I particularly love the transition starting at 2:00)

I adore that Morrowind theme. Speaking of the game, here's another one that is fantastic:

I love music that invokes emotions and is tied to the narrative of a game. Rarely have I ever felt more like an asshole in a game then when I heard the theme for SPOILER IN WHITE FOR THE ENDING OF DARK SOULS Gwyn in Dark Souls and continued on my path. Everything seems to come together at this one point to point a finger at your past actions:
You've killed hundreds of souls, depopulated an entire kingdom, meddled with affairs that are not yours, murdered beings that asked for nothing more but to be left alone, defiled temples and driven people into insanity, you've bereft a proud knight of the one attribute that kept him alive - his honor, you brought back a soul into live that only wished to die alone, you killed the defender of a grave for nothing more but a trinket so you can keep your crusade going... after all that you come upon an area and then you hear this.
(not embedded directly anymore, because it's a spoiler for some)
Yep, everything done up to this point has proven that the player and what they embody in the game is a complete homicidal arse, that will stop at nothing, for the sake of some entirely meaningless grand quest, that is mocked all throughout.

The credits music from Dark Souls 2. The ending isn't a reward, but this music sure as hell is.

So epic....and this is before the game even starts.

The build up and booming-ness at the minute mark is awesome :)
The uncompressed version is much better though... YT sucks.
MGS2 was just as awesome, plus more campy feeling :P

And someone posted this gif before, this music playing at this point in the game is this:
Amazing soundtracks in the MGS games.

All of La-Mulana's. Both versions.

Bring back Advent Rising.
The entire soundtrack is shockingly good considering what a failure Advent Rising was.

Donít you feel the same way? When I cannot see myself, even though I touch myself, I wonder if I really exist.

(yes, it's really a battle theme, playing during fights)
Persona series all the way. They even play live concerts in Japan.
