Actually The Walking Dead is just $8 or €8 or 7,54 GBP if you buy at Gamersgate.

About the only thing that catches my eye in the Steam sale is the Orcs Must Die DLC. Is that worthwhile?

Found that one when I was scrolling the Halloween offers. One of those too good to be true deals you gotta instabuy before it's gone.

I think I'll give it a second chance and see if I can get to like it.

As a follow up to asking for opinions, I've ended up buying the following on Steam:
The Walking Dead Season Pass for $15 (40% off)
Orcs Must Die 2 for $7.50 (50% off)
and Section 8: prejudice (because I have no self control :/) for $3.75 (Daily Deal: 75% off).
I'm also looking for an american who can smuggle me Alice and Dead Space 2 (see my post in the smuggler thread for more info.)

Skip Alice, it's pretty but horrifically boring. If it was a quarter the length I'd whole heartedly recommend it.

I can also confirm that I think Gamersgate increased the price of The Walking Dead to price-match with Steam.
If anyone hasn't brought it up already, there's also a fairly decent sale going on on Origin at the moment. Log in to the store, click the banner at the top of the client to play a completely redundant picture-match game and... you get 50% of a lot of titles. This includes The Walking Dead at £10.49, but for some reason Origin still says that there's only three episodes available as of now?

I'm going to endorse Section 8: Prejudice.
I played the beta (never got around to playing the full game, didn't have time at release), back then it was:
-extremely polished and as far as I could tell bugfree
-battlefield meets halo
-airdrop in from the sky every time you spawn in a drop pod, kind of like planetside 2
There was a lot of controversy over high game prices, p2p multiplayer etc
They sold this game at 15 euros new and it was by far the best mp shooter that year (despite some flaws)and people ignored it... Shame on the pc gaming community.
Shows that if something isn't either heavily marketed or a sequel to an old IP noone will look at it twice.

I'll chip in on S8:P and agree that it was a fantastic shooter with the only flaws being a tiny community and it having GFWL. The only server that ever seemed to have a decent number of players was a cynical brit one after TB promoted the game.

With so many MP shooters, I have skipped and will skip S8 again because it uses the disease that is GFWL.

I assume this is why
Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity $4.99
Demigod - $2.49

Got myself the first two S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games from the Gamersgate Halloween sale for 3,60EUR (should be ~4,15EUR without the IGN discount). Seemed like a pretty good deal, I loved the Call of Pripyat. Hopefully, the Complete Mods are just as brilliant for the other titles as they were for the third one.
