Can't force graphics settings for Civ V: Gods & Kings
I recently got a new laptop to supplement my desktop (basically just to play some specific games that I'd like to have readily available during travel, away from my desk, etc.). One thing that bugs me is that I can't seem to override Civ V's settings. I'm trying to find the sweetspot between performance and visuals (and Civ V seems to be a bear, performance-wise), and I'd like to see what shifting some of the burden away from the game itself gets me. Anyone know how to do this? I've tried RadeonPro, to no avail.
The primary adapter is an AMD Radeon HD 6620G. The laptop also has a linked adapter that is labeled as "AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M series."
And before someone says so, I realize that a laptop is no substitute for a desktop, but I'm not trying to make this laptop into my primary platform. I just find it irritating that I can run Dawn of War II: Retribution at almost max settings quite well while a turn-based strategy game chugs horribly late-game.
