    Editing permissions for Giraffe Councillor

Who is it that can handle this? Apparently 'Invite online outfit members to squad' button requires a checkbox to be ticked in rank permissions, but you can't edit the rank permissions for your own rank.

Uh anyone in the top rank should be able to edit it I think. Otherwise Eso.

Has that changed? I used to be able to invite online people to squad.

There's a new button. It invites online outfit members to squad.

I think the Councillor should have all things ticketed since it's the top rank.. Might be a bug?

I think it's put in as defaulting to off, so it's not checked for Councillors, and you don't seem to be able to change the permissions for the rank that you are (which makes sense). I can switch things around for anything below Councillor.

And yes, this directly relates to the new feature of being able to hit a button and invite all online members to the squad.

Since the game has a default, hidden outfit leader it will have to be Eso.

Perhaps Eso could pick someone more active to pass it to?..

    edit - anyone but me!

I think the only way to pass on Founder is to demote yourself - at which point it goes to the next-longest-serving top rank.
    So needs some planning.

That might be a major stumbling block, given some of the longest serving members no longer play PS2 and are inactive on the forums.

I think it's longest serving at that rank. So if you demoted everyone but left a single person they'd get it

That could work. Maybe we could systematically demote the inactive Councillors to Giragidier - and Grible, because he likes that rank - and then whoever gets founder rights fixes the permissions.

Be careful - I might end up as your founder.... like Odo. I also currently don't have the game installed since I hate it.

I'm sorry to hear that your frustration with PS2 went as far as uninstalling it... even if my ping this evening when I tried a quick break from mographing was spiking to 20K at times. I can tell when PS2 wants me to keep working.

Either way, it's probably worth getting the permissions in the hands of someone who is around regularly, as sad as I am that we can't say that about Eso right now.

    No! Gribble! Come back! Gribbble!

You can't do this to me, I'm ill or something. Dunno, haven't really been paying attention.

Anyway. Don't wear yourself out. Just magically enjoy the game again immediately.

Plenty of inactive members, ps2 specificly or in general, make it to the meets. Gribble has no excuse, especially since he has to witness a civil marriage right before, as is tradition.

Just wondering how many councillors still play apart from Laldy, Sketch and Grumpy?
