Carmageddon Reincarnation has been successfully funded! Which could have been a headline over a year ago, as the bally project was happening anyway, but having just reached its Kickstarter goal that means it's double-funded. Stainless' driving and murder simulator currently sits on top of a $425,000 cash-throne with nine days left on the Kick-clock. I'd be very surprised if it didn't reach half a mill…
Carmageddon: Reincarnation

Remember, remember the 6th of Julember. For that is the date that the two-day Rezzed game show, orchestrated by Eurogamer with lots of help from the nerds at Rock, Paper, Shotgun, kicks off in my current home town of Brighton, UK. It's also my girlfriend's birthday, which means I won't be at the show until Saturday July 7th. And that I will very sadly miss…
Feature: Give And You Shall Receive
This makes sense as a thing to do. With so many gaming Kickstarters running, for games we're genuinely interested to play, let's have a look to see where they all are this weekend. The headline news is that Grim Dawn has finished its run, with just shy of double its target reached. Below you can catch up on Moebius, Xenonauts, Tex Murphy, and many more.…
Hmm. I was under the impression that Stainless' forthcoming Carmageddon reboot was in a safe place already in terms of funding, but nonetheless they've added their game of pedestrian slaughter and hyper-aggressive future-racing to the infinite ranks of Kickstarted development. The internet's been enormously happy about the news today, which puzzles me slightly as it's not like the game wasn't going to happen without crowdsourcing.…
It's entirely possible we'll have to wait another 12.7 thousand years for Carmageddon: Reincarnation to roll its spiky, organ-splattered wheels this way, but we've waited this long already so a spot of extra patience before we can massacre pedestrians with weird cars isn't going to hurt.At least we finally have a first peek at roughly what the game will look like. Above is one of…
Feature: The Splat Pack are back
I was a typically world-hating, violence-lovin' teenager during the early 1990s, and that means I'm as pleased as the next man-child that ultra-sadistic racing/pedestrian-splatting game Carmageddon is finally, finally due for a comeback next year, with a new game called Carmgeddon: Reincarnation. Having rescued the rights from the ashes of publisher SCI, original developers Stainless Games are back at the helm. Here, I chat to…

The Carmageddon reincarnation has been officially revealed. It's called Carmageddon: Reincarnation, appropriately enough. (The website appears completely broken at the moment.) And it's being made by the same team that created the original two games, Stainless Games.
