I've added Downward [official site] to my list of things to investigate this month as they come to Early Access. It's billed as a "first-person open-world parkour adventure set in the medieval ruins of a post-apocalyptic Planet Earth." Earlier this month, Alice saw the announcement info for parkour-heavy game Downward [official site] and was all "something something worlds as adventure playgrounds something something I like leaping around". There was probably a subsection about ponds as well. WELL, there is now a teaser trailer so we can better see what Caracal Games Studio actually envision for their game.
Treating games environments as adventure playgrounds to run, leap, and fall around as we please is always delightful. Parkour games make me a little wistful, though. I remember parkour as being a fundamental part of FPSs, with id Software's wonderfully wonky movement physics letting folks leap across maps in a few bounds, creating their own routes and popping up in unlikely places.
