Memoranda brings magical realist adventure to January

A pretty one

Magical realist adventure game Memoranda [official site] wowed us with its looks when it turned to Kickstarter last year and now that it's got a release date, yup, I'm still going "Ooh!" Memoranda is the story of a woman who may or may not be losing her memory in a strange world. Its makers cite the strange stories of Japanese author Haruki Murakami as a huge influence. Here, come watch this new trailer:

Or, if you'd rather a written description, here's the official blurb:

"Memoranda tells the story of a young woman who gradually realizes that she is forgetting her own name. But is she really losing her memory, or is there something else that could explain the strange situation?

"The beautiful hand-drawn adventure takes place in a quiet little town where a few ordinary people live together with some more unusual characters. From a World War II veteran to an elephant taking shelter in a man's cottage hoping to become a human, everyone in Memoranda has one thing in common: they are all on the verge of losing something. It could be a name, a loved one or even their own sanity!"

I'm up for that.

Memoranda will hit Windows, Mac, and Linux on January 25th, 2017 via Steam and GOG, priced at £11.99/€13.99/$14.99.
