Red Dead Redemption 2 Online: Name Your Weapon guide

What to expect from the game mode that arrives with RDR 2 Online.

A number of details about Red Dead Redemption 2's Online component have been datamined ahead of the official launch later on today, and one such mode goes by the name of Name Your Weapon.

This free-for-all mode has individual players or teams competing to earn points, with bonus points awarded for using a trickier weapon to land the killing blow.

More detail will emerge when the online beta officially goes live a littler later on today (for players with the Ultimate edition, that is), but in this guide we're outlining everything we currently know about the game mode.

Once we've been able to get stuck into the beta for ourselves, we'll be updating this article with plenty of tips and strategy advice for coming out on top.

Name Your Weapon Overview

Here are the basics of what we know about Name Your Weapon:

Individual (FFA: Free For All) and team-based modes are available.
In the team-based version, there can be either two, four or eight teams taking part in each round.
Team sizes have not yet been confirmed.
Datamined locations include: Lankik Electrical, Tall Trees, Hearthland Oil Fields, Annesburg and Fort Mercer.
