Samsung SSD prices just keep on falling in Amazon's Black Friday SSD deals

All the best Black Friday SSD deals right here

Happy Black Friday week fellow deals hunters, and boy do I have some fresh SSD deals for you this morning. Hot off the back of Amazon's pre-Black Friday sale at the beginning of last week, the Samsung 970 Evo Plus and the portable Samsung T5 SSD are now even cheaper than they were a couple of days ago. Plus, there are some very nice deals on some Western Digital SSDs, too. Read on below for the full low-down from your trusted deals herald.

Of course, you'll find loads more Black Friday SSD deals in our regularly updated Cyber Monday SSD deals hub, as well as loads more Black Friday deals on other PC gaming bits and bobs in our Best Black Friday PC gaming deals mega hub, so make sure you keep an eye on them this week to keep yourself up to date.

Starting with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus, then, you can now get a 1TB model for just £155. Sure, it's only £4 cheaper than it was last week, but that's still an all-time low for this particular size capacity, according to my CamelCamelCamel price tracker, making it a good a time as any to snap one up.

Don't be fooled by the £100 500GB model, though, as this was £90 just a couple of weeks ago and is often around the £100 mark anyway. Similarly with the 2TB model, too - this has been lower in the past and is currently more expensive than it was just a few weeks ago. The 250GB model has also been known to dip to £60 in recent weeks, so it's probably worth waiting a couple of days to see if it falls any lower.

As for the Samsung T5 (which is still my top recommendation for best portable SSD), the red 500GB is now just £80, which is another all-time low for that particular size capacity (down from £85 last week). Plus, it's red, which makes it extra good because that is officially the best colour.

The black 2TB T5 is also currently the cheapest it's ever been at £244. That's down from £290 just a couple of weeks ago, and down from around £330 over the summer.

The black 1TB version is super cheap right now, too - just £114. That's down from £122 last week, and before that down from £150, where it's sat for most of this year.

Of course, if for some reason you have sworn off Samsung SSDs for some reason, you'll be pleased to hear there are plenty of Western Digital SSD deals going on right now, too, including a 1TB WD My Passport portable SSD for a smidge more than the Samsung T5 at £115 (down from £150 for most of this year). As you can see from my WD My Passport review, this isn't quite as quick as the Samsung, but it's still a very good portable SSD in its own right, and would be my next best recommendation after the T5.

The incredibly good value WD Blue SN500 (500GB) is also on sale for just £57 (another all-time low this year, albeit only down from around £66 where it's sat for most of its life over the past six months - see my WD Blue SN500 review for more details), and at the other end of the NVMe scale, there's the WD Black SN750, whose 1TB model is down to just £128 right now (down from its usual price of around £190), while its 2TB model is down to £300, which is over £100 off its normal price.

Alternatively, WD's 2TB 2.5in SATA Blue 3D NAND SSD is now just £174, which is, you guessed it, another all-time low and would normally set you back between £210 and £280. For more info on both types of SSD, which are probably also second to Samsung's lot in terms of speed and value for money, have a read of my WD Black SN750 review and WD Blue 3D NAND review.

That's all for now, but for more Black Friday deals-hunting, make sure you keep an eye on my regularly updated Black Friday hub pages, which are all linked for your viewing pleasure below:
