It’s Spring Again devs launch One Eyed Kutkh free

After unraveling the mysteries of Earth’s seasons in It’s Spring Again, Russian team Baba Yaga Games are adventuring into the stars to explore tales and mythology from Russia’s Far North. Today they released One Eyed Kutkh [official site] for free. It’s a simple and pleasant adventure game about a one-eyed creature who crashes his spaceship on a strange planet and, I’m told, will “have to get to the ninth heaven, deceive the Sun and the Moon and steal their space-boats.” So far, er, my Kutkh has only broken another space-boat he found. It’s Spring Again devs summon One Eyed Kutkh

“At first, we planned this project as a performance in the puppet theatre, but then we realized this idea could be much more exciting in a game form,” say the makers of One Eyed Kutkh [official site]. I don’t believe I’ve heard a developer say that before. I am delighted. Games cross over with a lot of mediums but rarely puppetry. As for Kutkh, it’s made by the puppeteering gang behind It’s Spring Again, a charming learn up ’em adaptated from a puppet show. The fun, nice kind of puppet.
