THQ Nordic buy up Saints Row and Metro

THQ Nordic, publishers of the Darksiders games and recent jankfest Elex, have bought Koch Media, the companies have announced. Koch are the father-company of Deep Silver, who publish games like Saints Row, Metro, Dead Island, and Homefront: The Revolution. That means THQ Nordic now own alllll of those bad boys, among others. Due to all the combined plates this company now spins, they could now make a game where the hero of Mighty No. 9 fights jazzy paint-monster De Blob in a doomed bid for supremacy on Mars, aka, Red Faction 3. Colourful platformer De Blob 2 squelches onto PC

We all know the saying: you wait a decade for one jazzy paint-based platformer starring a big blob of colour and then two come along at once. Or something like that.

De Blob arrived on PC in April, 9 years after the original release on the Wii, and this week the sequel arrived on PC a mere 6 years after it first hit consoles. Somebody’s in a hurry.

De Blob out now on PC, only 9 years late

Every party-goer knows it’s cool and trendy to arrive late. You wait until everyone is tipsy and bored of each other, then you appear in the doorway, hands full of ice creams, wearing your best pair of gloves. de Blob [official site], the jazzy puzzle-platformer about painting the town red and other colours, has arrived to the PC party a whole 9 years after its original release on the Wii. Split splot splat: De Blob bouncing back to PC

After rolling round consoles for the best part of a decade, paint-splatting platformer De Blob [Steam page] is coming home to PC. It’s about a big blob rolling around a dystopian city painting everything with its splatty powers. You might remember De Blob from its origins as a student project game on PC in 2006, back before THQ bought it, created a new Blob game for Wii, then crashed and burned and… to cut a long story short, that Blob game will finally come to PC on April 27th.
