Deadlight: Director’s Cut Out June, Survival Mode Deets

I was pretty torn with sidescrolling platformer/survival ’em up Deadlight when I first played it a few years back. For the most part, I enjoyed its zombie apocalypse narrative, its challenging gauntlet sequences and its wonderfully bleak presentation, however really struggled with certain jarring features – like how the protagonist would instantly drown upon impact in water, or how the screen would go all weird when he was exhausted. Just ask Adam about that one.

Other folk I’ve spoken to loved it, though, which might be why a Deadlight: Director’s Cut [official site] is heading our way on June 21, bringing with it updated controls, full 1080p resolution, and a new Survival Arena mode which looks something like this:
