X-Morph blending shmup and tower defense this month

I’ve been keeping an eye on X-Morph: Defense [official site], a tower defense game which is also played as a top-down shoot ’em up, and am delighted to hear that it’s almost here. Developers Exor Studios, who also made Zombie Driver and Half-Life 2 mod D.I.P.R.I.P., this week announced that X-Morph will launch on August 30th. Only a few more weeks and I’ll get to invade Earth and wipe out those pesky humons. Read the rest of this entry »

Hey, you got your shmup in my tower defense! X-Morph: Defense announced

Twin-stick shooter and tower defense will smoosh together in X-Morph: Defense [official site], the next game from Zombie Driver developers Exor Studios. We’ll come to Earth as invaders terraforming the planet for robotkind, dealing with the local ‘humons’ and their pesky armies by building gun towers and zipping around in our own little gunship. I burned out on tower defense after playing loads during the noughties TD craze but now, heck yeah this looks a load of fun. See for yourself in the announcement trailer: Read the rest of this entry »

Zombie Driver: Blood Race Released

A free update for Zombie Driver, Zombie Driver: Blood Race has been released, stitching a new fleshed-out racing mode to the existing Story and Slaughter modes.

I just went and dipped my toe into Zombie Driver’s gory waters for the first time and found myself having a fair bit of disposable fun. If you’re looking for something that’ll entertain you with an investment of little-to-no brainpower, ZD’s your boy, especially so because developers Exor Studios have substantially enlarged this game since it was first released and are having a 50% off sale this week. The latest trailer lurks beneath.

Breaking Distance: Zombie Driver Demo

I'm totally re-using John's screenshot.

John mentioned this last year, but we never talked about it being released. You can get it for 10 dollars, minus the five customary pence. But maybe you’ll need something to help you make you decision, either for or against it. Well, developers Exor studio have an idea which may help you. They call it a “demo” (pronounced “dem-oh”), and it basically gives you a small portion of the full game you can use to evaulate their full product. Crikey. Brilliant idea. You can get it from here or watch some moving magic pickytures below.

Cars > Undead: Zombie Driver

This is why I'm not allowed car insurance.

Oh my goodness, Zombie Driver looks a bit fun. Freshly announced (about a week ago, spotted by EG today), it’s the first game from Polish indie devs EXOR Studios, and involves running over zombies with a car. And shooting at them. And blowing them up. They’re promising seventeen missions, six cars, and all manner of weapons and upgrades and upgrades for weapons. And zombie dogs. The first trailer is below.
