School’s Out: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Released

The Final Fantasy game I’m eager to see is about a rough, tough, and royal anime boyband saving their kingdom (come on, FFXV!), but the schoolchildren saving their land in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD [official site] look pretty stylin’ too. You can now don the swish capes and shiny pauldrons of Class Zero at the magical military academy Vermillion Peristylium to defend your kingdom from the usual Final Fantasy business (it’s part of FFXIII and XV’s Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, if you must know).

Square Enix launched the PC port of Type-0 HD last night for your roleplaying pleasure.

Chocobo-A-Go-Go: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Out Aug 18th

Last time we checked in with teens-in-a-war ARPG spin-off Final Fantasy Type-0 [official site], we’d just received word that it would be coming to PC “soon”. Thanks to the press release that just landed on my desk, I can tell you that “soon” is August 18th. Obviously you should never preorder anything ever but if you were to preorder this ‘un, you’d be able to cross the streams of in-game menageries by adding a chocobo courier to Dota 2. You can also have “a Moogle (Class Zero) as your ward”. I quoted that directly because most of the words didn’t mean anything to me.

Schoolchild Action: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Coming To PC

Every Final Fantasy PC announcement that isn’t Final Fantasy XV is a knife in my heart, a needle in my eye, and a spit in my face. I just want a fun-loving anime pop-punk boyband gallivanting around on a road trip to save their kingdom, fight monsters, eat fresh food, and discover the power of friendship. It’ll surely be coming at some point, right? Most other recent FF games are.

This latest boyband blather is sparked by Square Enix’s announcement that they’re bringing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD [official site] to PC.
