Steam Charts: Final Wild Doom Hammer

Phew: we have nine different names in the top ten sellers on Steam last week, rather than the recent trend for various pre-orders and season passes splitting the vote excessively. Question is, has Joe/Jo Public responded as rapturously to DOOM as Ian/Iana Critic has?

Steam Charts: Demons And Souls

I say top ten, but there are actually only seven different games in the past week’s Steam charts, once pre-orders and deluxe editions are filtered out. It seems like a lifetime ago that Stardew Valley and Factorio were doing a little indie rampage around the charts, as Steam’s best-sellers have now very much reverted to big-brand type. Also: pre-ordering sure doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon, no matter how unwise it might seem.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Collection Released

We knew that Final Fantasy X and X-2 would be coming revamped to PC today, so the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster [official site] collection now being available on Steam is no surprise. But must everything be a surprise for you? Shall we all blast party papers and yell “Boo!” whenever you’re around? Is it not enough to be reminded that the game is now finally here on PC, 15 years after its original release (13 for the sequel)? Do you read everything and recall it with perfect clarity? Well hark at you! Mate, I don’t even remember what day it is.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster On PC This Week

Final Fantasy barely touched PCs for years (well, other than being made with them), but Square Enix have been making up for that. They’re flinging the RPGs at us lately, catching up on the decades with fancied-up ports and remasters. Next in line are 2001’s Final Fantasy X and its 2003 sequel Final Fantasy X-2 [official site], which are finally coming to PC together on Thursday, both fancied up a little.
