GOG launches summer sale (in spring)

Oh I do not remember the solution to this snow cone puzzle at all.

Those wild rebels of GOG have once again denied the majesty of the astronomical calendar, launching their big summer sale while it’s still spring. Over one thousand games are discounted, and buying anything will also get you a free copy of Rebel Galaxy – a spaceship shooter our Brendan liked enough for it to be a fair freebie. If you don’t know where to start with such a huge sale, hey, check out the picks we put together for GOG.

GOG have also once again launched GOG Connect for a bit, letting people get DRM-free GOG copies of certain games they own on Steam.

Saints Row 2 is free on GOG right now

C-c-c-crimes!

It’s Saints Row a go-go round GOG today as the store celebrates more of Volition’s wacky open-world crime ’em ups arriving DRM-free on its virtual shelves. GOG Connect is a pleasant little scheme from the DRM-free digital distributor, letting people who own certain games on Steam get GOG versions too for free. Now it’s back. GOG today launched another round of GOG Connect, with another seventeen games for Steamers to redeem. Because, y’know, it’s nice to have a DRM-free backup without buying a game twice. The lineup this time includes Hotline Miami, The Last Federation, the Shadow Warrior reboot, X Rebirth, and Teslagrad.

Oh, and GOG has launched another big sale too.

GOG Connect: Add Steam Games To Your GOG Library

“You own the games, so why buy them more than once?” asks GOG Connect’s tagline, which totally seems fair enough. GOG Connect, you see, is a new initiative from the CD Projekt Red-owned distribution platform that allows users to add some DRM-free Steam games to their GOG libraries. Find out what it’s all about after the drop.
