Wot I Think: Hearthstone – Goblins Vs Gnomes

Everyone loves Hearthstone, don’t they? Yes OK Mr Internet Commenter, I know that YOU consider the rigid turns an unacceptable oversimplification of CCG mechanics and blah blah blah, but every player I know just can’t enough of Blizzard’s card juice. Goblins vs. Gnomes is the game’s second expansion, following hot on the heels of the singleplayer adventure Naxrammas, and it adds 120 cards with one new minion class and a bunch of new effects. So is it all gravy, or a case of too many cooks?

Goblins vs Gnomes Arrives At The Hearthstone Tavern

Hearthstone‘s Goblins vs Gnomes expansion is finally out, meaning there are more than 120 new Warcrafty cards in the game with which to bolster your deck potential. Or, y’know, more cards which you think have bolstered your deck potential but it turns out you’ve accidentally done something which makes you explode yourself with the power of overthinking and hubris.

Hearthstone: Goblins Vs. Gnomes Clanking Out Next Week

That’s a nice-looking Hearthstone deck you’ve got there. What’s that, a wolf, yeah? Cool, cool. And some dogs? A load of forest friends hanging out? Great, great, lovely. Here’s a thought: why not replace them with bombs and robots? Those are cool. All the cool kids do robots now.

New Hearthstone Expansion Is Gnomes vs. Goblins

The new Hearthstone expansion, some details of which were already reported, has been revealed as Gnomes vs. Goblins in the Blizzcon 2014 opening ceremony. It contains 120 new cards, increasing the current pool by about 25%. The focus is on the explosive developments of the Warcraft universe’s two diminuitive races, introducing Mechs as a creature type and with a focus on more random effects.
