Twin Peaks-inspired RPG Baobab’s Mausoleum out today

The first episode of surreal RPG Baobab’s Mausoleum [official site] is out today. That’s the news. There are no more facts in this post for you, just strange and otherworldly sentences that will make as little sense to you as they do for me. For instance, the protagonist is a vampire FBI agent eggplant called Watracio Walpurgis. You see? He’s stuck in a town called Flamingo’s Creek, population 64, which only appears in nightmares every 25 years and is populated by monsters, a wendigo and some, I don’t know, UFOs? There’s more details and a trailer below but I’m not sure if they clear anything up.

Baobab’s Mausoleum is a JRPG inspired by Twin Peaks

All right, please remain seated because there’s a lot going on with this one. Baobab’s Mausoleum [official site] is an upcoming episodic, sometimes point-and-click, sometimes JRPG about a vampire eggplant FBI agent called Watrucio investigating a town known as Flamingo’s Creek which only appears every 25 years within the confines of a nightmare. Look, I know. You think you have it bad? I’m the one trying to explain it on a Monday morning. Luckily, there’s a trailer that does some of that for me. Use your eyes to see it.
