What do you get if you lock Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland in virtual reality with the Dr. Langeskov gang at Crows Crows Crows for a few months? A few dozen slop buckets you couldn’t pay me to go near. Also Accounting [official site], a virtual reality accounting simulator for HTC Vive. It’s out now for free on Steam and… I’m not quite sure how angry tree spirits and dungeons and guts and acid are involved in accounting, but I trust they’ve researched this thoroughly. Rick, Morty & Stanley: Accounting Is A Surreal VR Game

Accounting [official site] is the latest game from Crows Crows Crows, the studio directed by William Pugh, one of the brains behind the Stanley Parable. Made in partnership with Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland, it looks like precisely the sort of hilariously harrowing cartoon nightmare I’d hoped for when news that the two were working together on a Vive game reached us around this time last year. This is precisely the sort of place we should be pushing our eyeballs into.

Rick & Morty Chap Exploring VR With Stanley Co-Dev

Will they make this? Who knows!

The co-creator of splendid Adult Swim cartoon Rick and Morty (also the voice of their words and belches) Justin Roiland is planning some sort of virtual reality game thing for HTC Vive, working with folks including one of the Stanley Parable chaps. It’s a bit of a mystery for now but he’s a funny chap and Stanley’s pal William Pugh is too, so that’s nice. One preliminary design looks like… some kind of space prison game, maybe?
