That’s no moon, that’s my wife! Nights of Azure 2 due in October

The busty action of Nights of Azure will return on October 24th when Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon hits our shores, publishers Koei Tecmo have announced. The action-RPG sequel will continue to explore the demon-ridden Europe-ish fantasy world, this time with a new group of gal pals. One of ’em has woken up as a half-demon after being sacrificed by a shadowy cult, see, which is a classic setup for a firm female friendship. Warriors All-Stars crossovers with Dead Or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and more

Having previously predicted that Omega Force’s Warriors games are on a path to create hack ‘n’ slash adaptations of all fictional and historical stories, I feel vindicated to see that they’re now rolling a load of video games into one Warriors game. Publishers Koei Tecmo today announced a PC release for Warriors All-Stars [official site], a game throwing together characters from Warriors games along with Dead Or Alivers, Ninjas Gaiden, and other Tecmo stars. Gust’s Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure released on PC

A double-bill of Gust RPGs arrive today on PC, with publisher Koei Tecmo launching both Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book [official site] and Nights of Azure [official site]. Atelier Sophie’s about an alchemist, with turn-based combat, while Nights of Azure is a real-time action-RPG starring a knight with demonic powers. The PC games of 2017 mega-preview

As Old Father Time grabs his sickle and prepares to take ailing 2016 around the back of the barn for a big sleep, we’re looking to the future. The mewling pup that goes by the name 2017 will come into the world soon and we must prepare ourselves for its arrival. Here at RPS, our preparations come in the form of this enormous preview feature, which contains details on more than a hundred of the exciting games that are coming our way over the next twelve months. 2016 was a good one – in the world of games at least – but, ever the optimists, we’re hoping next year will be even better.

Gust’s Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure coming to PC

The JRPGs of venerable studio Gust will start coming to PC next year, parent company Koei Tecmo announced today. Gust join a long and pleasing lineup of Japanese developers who once focused on consoles but are now starting to give PC a crack, which is splendid news. But while some have been starting deep in their back catalogue, Gust’s first PC ports will be recent ones: Nights of Azure [official site] and Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book [official site].
