Noclip take on Warframe’s unlikely success story

If you were to look at Warframe now, it’s hard to even imagine that Digital Extremes’ free-to-play mega-hit ever had humbler origins. Even harder to believe that its very existence was a desperate last-ditch plan to keep the lights on at a struggling studio that had been turned away by every major publisher.

In the latest in their oft-excellent series of candid interview-heavy documentaries, YouTube outfit NoClip went and pinned down the core staff behind Warframe’s success, and have managed to extract an hour of surprisingly candid history from them, equally educational and emotionally resonant. Worth a watch.

Zombie Night Terror spreads to the moon in free update

What happens when zombies have conquered the Earth? Humanity escapes to the one place that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism, obvs. But of course the zombies will somehow sneak onto the rocket and followed us to the moon. That’s the case in Zombie Night Terror [official site], the fun zomber which is a bit like Lemmings played as a zombie overlord. Zombies are scary. Sort of. They’ve been the stuff of nightmares for pretty much… forever. Maybe we’ve been inundated to the point of no return. Maybe there are never too many zombies. Puzzle-platformer/infection-sim Zombie Night Terror [official site] looks pretty fresh though. It’s Lemmings, it’s zombies! It’s alive! Wait, that’s Frankenstein – not a zombie. Whatever.
