Nvidia Turing: GTX 1180 Founders Edition set for July release date, plus everything we know so far

Nvidia GeForce GTX

With graphics card prices finally on the way down, all eyes are now very much focused on Nvidia’s next generation of GeForce GTX graphics cards, which as far as we know are currently going by the codename ‘Turing’. Set to replace Nvidia’s current range of GTX 10-series cards, like the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 and many other cards that populate our best graphics card rankings, this new 11-series (or maybe even 20-series, depending on who you believe) of Turing cards will presumably continue along similar naming conventions as before with monikers like the GTX 1180 or GTX 2070.

However, while anyone can guess that Nvidia’s Turing cards be released sometime in the not too distant future, there’s still a lot about them that’s shrouded in mystery, such as their price, actual physical release date and their specs. To help separate rough fact from clearly obvious fiction, here’s a handy guide on everything we know so far about Nvidia’s Turing graphics cards that I’ll be updating with more info as and when it comes – such as the recent news that the Founders Edition of the GTX 1180 might be set to arrive as early as July. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 rumours: no campaign, and a battle royale mode

With a month to go until Activision start blabbing about Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, the last annual sequel in their mega-blockbuster shooter series, the rumour mill is filling in the space. According to whispers on the wind, Cod Blops 4 won’t have a traditional story campaign, scrapped because it wasn’t going to be ready in time for the October launch, and will instead focus on multiplayer and the cooperative Zombies mode. Other whispers say that the game will have a battle royale mode too. Activision reply that they “don’t comment on rumor and speculation.” Believe as much or as little as you please. Mafia III, Doom, Homefront Release Dates Leaked

The year 2016 is slowly spinning up and retailers just can’t wait to tell you when you’ll be able to give them $60 for video games. Amazon France, Best Buy, Target—they care not a whit for carefully-crafted marketing plans or poorly-kept secrets.

Which is to say the release dates for Doom [official site], Homefront: The Revolution [official site], and Mafia 3 [official site] maybe (probably) leaked.

Turnip And Swede: Assassin’s Creed In Victorian London

Cawww bloiiiimey chaaaynge yoooor 'aaaat guvvvnah?

There is, I have discovered, a certain wonder and horror in learning that Assassin’s Creed is coming to a city you know and love. Excitement to see your streets and buildings recreated in shiny history-o-vision for you to explore crashes into dread of how horribly it’ll mangle your city’s culture and history. The open-world murder simulator series is coming to Victorian London, Ubisoft have quietly sorta confirmed after “target gameplay footage” of something named Assassin’s Creed Victory leaked to Kotaku. Imagine the mockney accents.

Selling! No No No… Unity Deny Rumours

Settle down, gel.

Ooh he isn’t half an awful gossip, that Ian Video Games! Why, just the other day our Alec said Judith’s lad CNET — you know, shaved head, earring, works in the arches café — told him Ian had been going around saying Google and some other local teams had been sniffing around, looking at signing up Unity. “Unity!” I tell Ian, “It’s you wot needs tea my boy, settle your nerves you jumpy Jeff.”

Course, Unity’s uncle has come out and made it real clear. “We have no plan to sell Unity,” says he. Too flipping right! She’s too good for them, that gel.

Blizzard: Filthy Teases

Wot no Lost Vikings

There’s a large part of me that never wants to write or read anything along the lines of “Diablo 3 announcement coming?” ever again. However, we are approaching something of a critical mass, so one more time… The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational hits Paris at the weekend (I’ll be there, trying not to stare at girls dressed as elves), and tradition dictates there’ll be an unveiling of a new game there. Well, we already know about Starcraft 2 and WoW: Anger of the Zombie Monarch, so everyone’s inevitably shouting Diablo III. There are, though, a ton of alternatives – Warcraft IV, Starcraft: Ghost, World of Starcraft or, heaven forfend, A New IP.

So what’s it gonna be? Blizzard have been openly teasing fans for the last couple of days. The basts.
