Let us all forget, for a moment, the unmitigated disaster that was Dynasty Warriors 9 and remember a better time. A time when musou games (as they’re known) were simple, cathartic affairs where one hero gets to beat up hundreds (if not thousands) of foes in a single brawl, all without any of that tedious open-world fluff. Well, Warriors Orochi 4 looks to be going back to those good old days, and for the first time since 2008 is bringing this particular mash-up crossover series to PC.

Warriors All-Stars crossovers with Dead Or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and more

Having previously predicted that Omega Force’s Warriors games are on a path to create hack ‘n’ slash adaptations of all fictional and historical stories, I feel vindicated to see that they’re now rolling a load of video games into one Warriors game. Publishers Koei Tecmo today announced a PC release for Warriors All-Stars [official site], a game throwing together characters from Warriors games along with Dead Or Alivers, Ninjas Gaiden, and other Tecmo stars. Warriors Orochi


Koei send word that their heroic samurai brawling game Warriors Orochi will turn up on PC on the 28th of March in the UK. In a meeting of franchises, it’s a mix of Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors, with some supernatural battlin’ to be done. It’s not the best of Warriors games, certainly, but it still captures the charming field-of-battle dynamic that makes these games so interesting. Anyone else get a kick out of the Warriors games? If so, are they playable on PC?
