Have You Played… The Cat Lady?

Have You Played? is an endless stream of game retrospectives. One a day, every day of the year, perhaps for all time.

I haven’t played The Cat Lady [official site]. Or at least, I haven’t played it to completion. If I had to answer my own question, ‘have you played The Cat Lady?’, I’d have to say no, because what little of it I saw, I now believe I misread or was in the wrong mood to appreciate. Time to give it a second chance.

Creepygrim Horror: Downfall Remake Released

Say, how do you like horror adventure games full of love and death and murder and insanity and red blood splattered on black-and-white scenes? I ask because The Cat Lady developer Remigiusz Michalski has released a remake of his earlier point-and-cower game Downfall [official site]. It’s the tale of a man and his wife on a romantic getaway to rekindle their struggling marriage when things turn all dark and unpleasant and, I’d guess, possibly-all-in-your-head. It has a demo so you can see if it’s your bag.

Spinning A Yarn: The Cat Lady

Sparse.

This gives me the creepydinks. A trailer for a new indie adventure called The Cat Lady. However, it doesn’t seem to be about a nice old lady living with her twenty-seven cats, eventually dying and being eaten by them. Nor a giant cat-human mutant destroying central Brighton. Instead it appears to be about DEATH and BLOOD and GORE. Also, a rather interesting looking paper-craft style of animation. I’m not entirely sure the video below could be qualified as safe for work, mostly because it’s so weird. So at your discretion, click on.
