New Beyond Good & Evil Confirmed With Adorable Pig

If you’ve been keenly awaiting Beyond Good & Evil 2 these eight long years, hanging on the edge of your seat for so long that your flesh has grown into the fabric and you’ll need to be cut out, good news: Ubisoft have confirmed… something that is likely Beyond Good & Evil 2. They’re definitely doing a new Beyond Good & Evil, at least. We’ve known about their desire to for yonks, thanks to irregular mentions and reassurances, but making even a vague announcement suggests they’re cracking on with it. Series creator Michel Ancel has been blasting concept art around too.

See U Soon: Ubi’s Survival Horror FPS Zombi Comes To PC

One novel exclusive from Ubisoft for the Wii U launch in 2012 was ZombiU, a survival horror FPS set in a zombie-infested London. It was designed a fair bit around the the WiiU tablet controller doodad, but it seemed like this wouldn’t be enough to keep it off other platforms. For a long time, it was. But, late enough that I’m actually surprised by news I had once anticipated, Ubisoft have now announced that ZombiU is coming to Windows. Or Zombi [official site], as it’s now known. Soon, too: August 18th.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 Continues As Ancel Goes A Bit Indie

Still waiting.

It’s nice to have a reminder that Ubisoft really do intend to release Beyond Good & Evil 2, isn’t it? After six years, I don’t really think of it as an actual game I might play one day, more a pleasant idea I’m glad Ubisoft still share. The latest of many casual statements that yeah, they’re thinkin’ about it too comes to assuage concerns after news that BG&E head honcho Michel Ancel (of Rayman fame too) is going indie. Sort of.

Ancel has joined a new small indie outfit, named Wild Sheep, but will continue to work at Ubi too.

Valiant Hearts Will Try To Make You Cry In June

Shut up no I won't cry about this dog and you can't make me stop it no I won't look into its eyes why are you doing this to me?

A word of warning: Ubisoft are trying to make you cry. On purpose. They’re making Valiant Hearts: The Great War and intend for it to make you blub. Are you going to take that from them? Are you going to sit here and just let a video game company seize control of your tear ducts, of your brain? Don’t let them! Don’t give them that power!

Get angry! Get furious! Stomp around the room right now, sweeping small items off surfaces and bellowing resistant slogans like “This isn’t on!” and “My tears are my own!” Then come back and watch the new trailer Ubisoft has released to announce Valiant Hearts’ June 25 release date.
