Four players/AI create ‘tails’ of eggs as they move. Colliding with another player’s egg knocks you out of the round. Important: you do not move in real time, but rather commit to five moves per turn, having to manually count spaces and guess where other players might go. Winning unlocks a new ‘character’, represented invariably by a photograph of a young, white male developer but who appears as a chicken in-game. Each character has a special power which makes navigating/surviving the match either easier or harder.
Ingenious design abounds, but stretches the joke well past the point that it’s funny.
