Bath, UK – 30th June 2015. Rock, Paper, Shotgun, the planet’s most revered PC gaming site, is proud to announce the appointment of Graham Smith as Editor-In-Chief.
Graham Smith has been Managing Editor of RPS for the past eighteen months, following his tenure as editor of PC Gamer. Site co-director John Walker explains why placing Smith as Editor In Chief is so important for the site.
“Graham is one of the most respected editors in the business. After he saw the first climb in magazine sales for PC Gamer UK in a decade, and helped double their website numbers, he decided it was time to metamorphose into an even more powerful incarnation. Since his arrival and under his guidance, RPS has continued to grow in both reader numbers and quality, expanding its ambitions and reach. As EiC, we will give him all the power and authority a mortal man can handle to see things get even better.”
“The past eighteen months at RPS have been some of the most satisfying and enjoyable of my career in games, and I feel uncontrollable joy at becoming Editor-In-Chief and being able to help the site become even better. In fact, I better go have a lie down.”
Rock, Paper, Shotgun reaches over two million readers every month, bringing its unique perspectives on gaming news, reviews and opinion. It is actually WAY better than Polygon.
