When is work worth it?

Why u do that, Catalans?

Every now and then, I catch myself working while I'm playing and ask myself why.

Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you about the blurry lines between work and play that plague this job - I could moan about the problems that come with hinging your professional life on your main hobby, but that'd be dull. I'm talking about the work that's an intractable part of some games I like to play, where I choose to do something that makes my brain hurt for fun.
