Might 2016 Be The Best Year For PC Games Ever?

Occasionally I see a conversation break out over which year was gaming's best, based on the games that came out that year. Some people suggest 2004, which brought Half-Life 2, World of Warcraft, Far Cry, Counter-Strike: Source, GTA: San Andreas. Others argue for 1998, which had Half-Life, Grim Fandango, Thief: The Dark Project, Unreal, Fallout 2, StarCraft, or 1997 with Age of Empires, Fallout, Grand Theft Auto, Total Annihilation. Dungeon Keeper...

The year isn't over yet, but I think 2016 might have them beat.
