I both fear and welcome the future

I know Millennials bloody love posting about how we're going to be the last generation that understands the link between a cassette tape and a pencil, but the joke's on us. The act of bragging about that means that picture is all over the internet and we will keep having to explain the link to successive generations for ever and ever, in order to feel smug about the time we were born.

You, reader who likes video games, will probably relate to this, but having a hobby that is at the so-called bleeding edge of technology, or at least technology available for consumers, kind of underscores how quickly technology advances beyond our reach. It is underscored whenever I talk to my parents about it.
