Old games are bad

They are, don't lie

Matt and I are off on an adventure next week, flying halfway around the globe so we can sit in the dark while beshirted men strut back and forth across a stage saying the words “living breathing world” nineteen times. But after the E3 2019 conferences we get to play some upcoming games, which is cool. Except some of them are sequels for very old games I’ve never played. So I’ve been diving into the archives to play some oldies in an effort to educate myself (besides watching recaps of their plots on YouTube). What they say is true: without the perfume of nostalgia, old games stink.
