Remembering Motor City Online

EA's unusual period-set MMO racing game

I can't write a full and robust retrospective of Motor City Online, because I've forgotten so much of it and can never go back. But to never mention the game would do it a disservice: I know for sure that I loved EA's first crack at a racing MMO, from its wonky player-driven supply and demand economy, to its 1950s American cars which juddered as my 56k modem tried and failed to keep up with the action on screen.
