True crime is actually very scary

For most of October of 2014, I was in hospital. I hadn’t yet been booked in for surgery for my Crohn’s disease, and was having some side effects from the treatment I was on. I was in so much pain that I checked myself into A&E one night, and then they wouldn’t discharge me for two weeks. I was shunted through three different wards because they weren’t quite sure where to put me. I ended up having quite a nice time, because the hospital food wasn’t actually that bad, and also because they kept giving me morphine every few hours.

What I’m trying to say is that when I listed to the first season of the true crime podcast Serial (mailkimp?), I was very high.
