What I learned from painting my first Warhammer miniature

Over the Christmas break I impulse bought a Branchwych miniature model from the Warhammer store while picking up some brushes for a different project. I didn't know anything about her place in the lore. To me she was a pleasingly angry tree with a pleasingly angry caterpillar friend and I thought this would be an excellent time to give 3D painting a go.
