Red Dead 2’s jelly cowboys make me glad for the Obra Dinn

My recent evenings have been spent clip-clopping through the critically lauded and privately bemoaned Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s got some nice hats, and you can shoot the hats off, and you can pick up your own hat when it comes off in a gunfight. It also controls like three-legged rat wading through bin juice. Gun fights are becoming more common as Arthur Morgan danders bow-leggedly toward his (I’m guessing) lawful reckoning. And each one is making me dislike the western more and more. On Friday, I threw away the pad after 30 minutes and fired up nautical murder mystery game Return of the Obra Dinn. It is a much better game.
