Texts From Rezzed: It Begins
Pip, Adam, and John are there
Half of RPS is in That London this weekend for EGX Rezzed, Eurogamer's show where we're up to all sorts of things. We have a little RPS booth with a selection of games we dig, we'll be chatting with with some devs, and we'll hit the pub tonight. If you're at Rezzed, go check it out! (The pub's open to all comers, mind.)
For those of us who aren't there, well, Adam, Pip, and John are sending me little updates to share with you and capture some of the magic.
Let's try this as a gallery doodad. Use the arrows or your arrow keys to move between entries. First, Pip encounters an unconventional controller.
11:32 - Pip
At Rezzed working out how to play this bear
11:43 - Adam
Almost at Rezzed. Ready to roll.
11:52 - Pip
Played the Burly Men at Sea [official site] demo - it's like a children's book with beautiful design and a really nice sense of humour :)
11:53 - Pip
Also made crumbs Everywhere in the Leftfield Collection with my croissant
12:14 - Pip
Played Ste and Graham Spence's game Time Is An Island [official site]
It is storytelling plus human geography - which Ste described as minigolf meets fridge poetry
12:15 - Pip
Also Aubrey's exercise ball country finder score attack thing [official site]
12:15 - Pip
The controller is an exercise ball and mice and rubber band
12:31 - Pip
Orchids to Dusk [official site] had me walking across a planet exploring sparse patches of vegetation as my oxygen ticked down. I think it maybe was about finding a place in which to die alone
12:34 - Pip
Loitering behind Overcooked [official site]
It is co op food prep on a boat as bits of the kitchen shift about :)
12:56 - Pip
I played it with three strangers and the kitchen caught fire.
The over 18 area seems to be cars and warhammer and postal redux which I assume is a game about being a postman.
