Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

He seems less into this than I am.

There’s a press preview build of A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build by Alan Hazelden and Ben Davis which I’ve been playing this weekend. I was streaming it because it felt festive and I was trying to cheer myself up after I managed to smash nearly all of my glass baubles in a decorating incident. The puzzle game’s not actually due out until the “end of winter” but this should give you an idea of what to expect!

This video is from about half an hour into my playthough – I did the explanation a second time for people who had just joined the stream and it was clearer than the earlier one. There will be a number of puzzle spoilers (and if you look on the ground you might be able to trace how I moved the snowballs in other puzzles so if you prefer to go into the game blind, just know it’s a game about rolling snowballs and piling them up in the right order so you can make lovely snow people in a little park.

Come on, let’s go and play
    I never see you anymore
    Come out the door
    It’s like you’ve gone away

I came here for this comment and was not disappointed.

      The game looks great, too!

Is this another one to add to the hashtag #PipWorldProblems?
Although this one could happen to anyone and doesn’t have the typical bizarre twist of fate that you seem to attract!

If you want to skip any puzzle spoilers, skip to 6:15 for an adorable tour of the snowpeople where Pip goes round hugging them all.

(Removing duplicate clothing is one of the things on the todo list that means it won’t be out before Christmas, but I promise it’ll be worth the wait!)
