Chaos Code -New Sign of Catastrophe- bifs onto PC

Get biffy

For years, the PC was short of fighting games. The bigguns stayed in arcades and on consoles, our home-grown ones were a bit wonky, and we certainly didn't have Salty Bet. Now, goodness me, we've more fights than a pub car park. Along with (most of) the big-name series, loads of neat smaller games, we get the odd games too, such as Chaos Code -New Sign of Catastrophe- [official site]. FK Digital's fight 'em up arrived on PC last week, with a cast ranging from a manga artist to a chef. Have a look:

New Sign of Catastrophe is an updated version of the game first released in 2011, coming with extra characters and extra moves. That second addition is especially interesting, as players get to pick two moves to customise their fighter. The game's cosmetic customisation offers an interesting amount of tinkering too.

Along with local and online multiplayer, Code Chaos packs a singleplayer arcade mode, a challenge mode, practise mode, and scraps with the AI.

Chaos Code -New Sign of Catastrophe- is out on Steam for £13.49/17,99€/$17.99, which includes a small launch discount. It's published by Arc System Works, who of course have plenty of their own fighting games to PC too.

This series is new to me so, if any seasoned fightfaces are reading this, what's it like?
