CLEAVO! Return to Tiny & Big

'Tis the day for revisiting indie delights from months gone by. In this case, scenery-destroying treat Tiny & Big: a game whose prototype demo offered lovely art, big ideas, crazy physics and slightly cumbersome puzzles. Developers Black Pants are gearing up for the game proper's first chapter, 'Grandpa's Leftovers.' Going on the trailer below, they've clearly ramped up the excellent world-cleaving merriment... CLEAVO!

CLEAVO!

(CLEAVO! is my new favourite word).

CLEAVO!

Sorry.

As well as CLEAVO-ing, you may also have spotted a new rocket weapon that allows Tiny there to push rocks around. The game's chest-thumpiest feature is just how destructible its environments are, and the previous demo definitely demonstrated that the devs were damned serious on that front. Very excited to see how they'll manage to ramp that up.

With the devs acquiring funding ('collecting money for no apparent service in return, as they cutely put it) and IGF attention following the Up That Mountain demo, the next step is a full-on release, a demo of which is promised in 'the coming weeks'. Grandpa's Leftovers itself is due next Summer.

In the meantime, they're ever so keen that you go vote for them in the IndieDB awards.
