Everything must go in room-rotating puzzler Empty

Pleasing puzzling

Send your sofa to oblivion, leave your lamp to the void, cast your fridge to nothingness, and generally have a pleasant little time with Dustyroom's puzzle game Empty [Itch page]. Each level presents a pretty diorama of a room filled items you must make vanish. This is done, cleverly, by making them look like they're not there. Rotate the diorama so that yellow lamp turns invisible against the yellow ceiling and - poof! - it's gone. Sounds easy, isn't necessarily.

You need a clear, unobstructed view of the background to make an object disappear, see, and you'll often find that a lamp, a table legs, or a pot plant is juuust in the way enough to require some tricky vanishing. You'll need to remove objects in a careful order, which can take a bit of thought as later rooms become more crowded and complex. Oh, and it's got a trick or two up its sleeve later on too.

For now, here's the solution to level 3 to broadly show how it works:

As someone trying to keep their possessions down to an amount they can carry - last year I moved 300 miles by train - I find this all very calming. Some lovely rooms too, and nice music.

I'm reminded a bit of Vignettes [disclosure: some pals have worked on it.], a puzzle game also about rotating everyday objects, though there it's to transform them rather than vanish them.

Empty is pay-what-you-want on Itch for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Important tip: you can make wrong moves and need to restart a level (press escape for the restart option).
