Mortal Kombat 11’s story is one long intestine of exposition

And kliché

I am playing Mortal Kombat 11 for our review. It is quite a good biffer and there is a lot of gleeful knuckle-bruising and cartoonish violence. But as a lapsed Kombateer, its story mode is a cavalcade of loreshittery that I can barely understand. I have only a vague idea of what is happening, and who these people are. The game valiantly attempts to fill me into a decades-long backstory through chunks of dialogue. Unfortunately, this only results in hilariously impenetrable summations of rivalries and destruction from previous games. It’s as dumb as a dick, and just as ridiculous. Let’s look at some of the best (worst) lines.
