Oh my goodness, they looked like cartoons, but they weren't. They were the dullest, driest series, meandering to nowhere, and at no point did anyone hit anyone else with a frying pan. The series has actually been recently revived, and with what appears to be a slightly stumbling schedule, a new 26-part run is currently airing in France. It seems a game to go with it is in development on French shores, and the developers are looking for funding to get it on PC, and translate and relocate it for English-speaking humans. They're after $30k, and already have $24,500, with most of their run to go.
