Clearing up the defoxing annexe after last week's birthday celebrations (thanks for playing, everyone!) took the best part of a day. While I dealt with the consequences of using our extensive O gauge model of a WWI trench railway network as a vol-au-vent distribution system, Roman painstakingly removed party popper streamers from the rigging of the 1:35 Preussen replica over the fireplace, and Moira went to work on the red wine stains on our recently reupholstered (sigh) Splittertarn sofas. Uncle George's late arrival meant he was the one who found himself out in the yard winkling dried vomit from Wendy the Weasel's nooks and crannies with a pressure washer and toothbrush.
