Thea: The Awakening Adds Co-op Multiplayer

Survival With Friends

Both Graham and Rob Zacny have been intrigued by Thea: The Awakening [official site]. Zacco explained it was "a survival 4X RPG roguelike with crafting and card combat" and Grammers is into that differentness. I'm not saying those two need help making friends, but I will point out that they could now play it together if they wanted. Developers MuHa Games yesterday launched an update adding two-player co-op. Oh, and Thea's in the Steam summer sale too.

MuHa explain that the co-op mode will let you "play the entire non-linear story campaign in cooperation with a friend. The players' villages can exchange goods while their heroes explore the procedurally generated world full of mythical creatures and thrilling events. The game remains a turn-based title with both players required to finish their actions before the AI's move."

Co-op is split into a free DLC pack for some reason, so head on over here. Or tick the little box next to the DLC in the game's listing in your Steam Library.

Also launching alongside is an update with bug fixes and balance tweaks and other patchy things.

A 40% discount brings Thea to £8.99/11,99€/$11.99 in the Steam sale until July 4th.
