Shoot Baddies For Good Causes: Tiny Robot Justice Squad

Blam blam

With the notable exception of Judge Dredd, I remain largely unconvinced by the notion that justice can be delivered from the barrel of a gun. Still, I do think robots are rather nifty, and charitable causes are usually hard to argue with, so I'll make another exception for Tiny Robot Justice Squad [official site]. Let me just grab the Tipp-Ex and update the list.

As you'll have already figured out from the screenshot above Tiny Robot Justice Squad is a side-on shooter with platforming elements. It's currently working its way through Greenlight, so isn't yet available to buy, but all profits from the game will ultimately go to charitable causes.

These Tiny Robots and their Justice Squad are the creation of Mind Relay, a one-man company. Mind Relay are a Community Interest Company, which basically means that whatever profits the company generates all go to charity. I've heard lots of developers and publishers saying that X or Y profits from their game or a sale will go to charity, but this is a new one on me.

The charity in question is GamesAid, a primarily UK-focused games charity which "acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people".
